Automatic and standard, import and domestic. Alex Galdamez and his crew diagnose honestly, rebuild in-house, and back the work with a written warranty.
General shops often swap in a replacement unit and hope. We tear transmissions down, find out why they failed, and rebuild them to last. Some customers have been coming back to us for ten years.
Transmissions are our main work — automatic, standard, CVT, 4WD, transfer cases and differentials, import and domestic.
We find the real cause before quoting. If it’s a sensor or valve body, we tell you — not a whole transmission.
Rebuilds come with written warranty terms you can hold us to. Ask for the coverage on your unit.
Owner Alex Galdamez is ASE certified, and the crew speaks English and Spanish.
GM, Ford, Chrysler/Ram, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru and more. Don’t see yours? Call — we probably work on it.
Transmission Rebuilds Slipping, flaring, or a transmission that's worn out We tear automatic transmissions down, inspect them and rebuild them on our own bench in Hickory. We don't swap in a unit and hope it works. Import and domestic, backed by a written warranty. Learn more
Automatic Transmission Repair Slips, shifts hard, or won't go into reverse Slipping, harsh shifts, no reverse or a transmission warning code. We find the actual fault and fix that part, whether it's a solenoid, the valve body or the torque converter, before anyone talks about replacing the whole transmission. Learn more
Manual Transmission & Clutch Clutch slipping, grinding gears, or a pedal that feels wrong Standard transmissions are half of what we specialize in. We handle complete clutch jobs, including the disc, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and flywheel, as well as manual gearbox repair and rebuilds for cars and trucks. Learn more
CVT Repair Whining, shuddering, or revving without pulling We diagnose and repair continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) in Nissan, Subaru, Honda and other vehicles. We'll also be upfront about the one thing that makes CVTs harder than other units: parts can be hard to get. Learn more
4WD, Transfer Case & Differential 4WD won't engage, or a whine or clunk from the axles We repair the rest of the drivetrain too: transfer cases, front and rear differentials, ring and pinion, and the 4WD engagement problems that leave trucks and SUVs stuck in two-wheel drive. Learn more
Transmission Diagnostics Something feels wrong and you want a straight answer Honest diagnosis comes first. We road test it, scan it and inspect it so you know exactly what's wrong, and what isn't, before you spend money on a repair. Learn more No guessing and no surprise invoice. Here’s every step.
Tell us what it’s doing — slipping, shifting hard, noises, lights. A short video helps. Ask about towing if it isn’t drivable.
We scan, road-test, and check fluid and pressures to find the real cause. Sometimes it’s a sensor or valve body — not a whole transmission.
You get the findings, your options (repair, rebuild, or used unit), the price, and a realistic timeline before we touch it.
Torn down, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt with new frictions, seals, and updated parts — then air-checked before it goes back in.
We road-test, re-check for leaks, and hand you written warranty terms with your keys.
This is a GM 6L50E drum on our bench. We air-test each clutch pack to make sure it applies before the transmission is reassembled.
It takes extra time, but it’s how we avoid pulling the unit back out a week later. Customers mention it too: one asked us to re-check for leaks after the job, and we did.
